Police looking for man who allegedly fired shots
A warrant has been issued for a Mississippi man accused of firing shots Sunday night in California.
Vincent Elcane Knight Jr., 22, also known as “Duck,” is being sought, according to a criminal complaint filed with Magisterial District Justice Joshua Kanalis. The alleged incident occurred around 11 p.m.
Borough police describe Knight as a thin, black man with dreadlocks. They said they got a call about a man threatening people with a firearm, and while en route to 1263 Zulu St., were told shots had been fired. They did find a 9mm casing on the street near Cross Street Apartments.
Witnesses identified the suspect as Knight, of Pascagoula, Miss., and said he had targeted two people, identified as Marie Walden and her son, Nathaniel Marshman, according to the criminal affadavit.
Walden told police she and her son had had an argument with Knight earlier that evening and that Knight had threatened to kill her if she contacted police.
She said she later got a call to go to her son’s apartment on Cross Street, and while approaching that building, Knight confronted her with a handgun.
Walden said Knight held the gun near her head, made multiple threats to kill her son, then fired several shots skyward before fleeing on foot.
