Police beat Nov. 16
Attempted burglary: A storage room at a residence in the 600 block of Hayes Avenue was broken into between Nov. 8 and 11, state police said. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.
Vehicle theft: Ralph William McLaughlin, 44, of 335 Ewing St., Meadowlands, is charged by township police with theft and receiving stolen property over allegations he stole a car from Ashley Jo Shandor about 11:20 a.m. Oct. 26, court records show. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set Monday by District Judge David Mark.
Threats alleged: Alfred Wiltrout, 83, of 2934 S. Bridge Road, Donegal Township is charged by local police with two counts each of reckless endangerment and making terroristic threats, court records show. Donegal police accuse him of firing a gunshot into the ceiling of his mobile home and then shooting himself in the stomach while police surrounded his home and an officer used a loudspeaker to urge him outside. District Judge Ethan Ward issued the charges in a summons Monday.
Burglary attempt: An attempt was made to break into a residence in the 70 block of Dusty Trail Road about 6 p.m. Nov. 10, state police said.
Assault alleged: Jerry Rudolph Hicks Jr., 42, of 60 Carl Ave., Eighty Four, is charged by township police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he kicked his girlfriend, Donna Little, in the face in his residence about 7:30 a.m. Monday. Hicks is free on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Jay Weller.
Assault alleged: Angel Marie McDivitt, 35, of 14 Acheson St., Washington, is charged by city police with simple assault over allegations she struck her boyfriend, William Pryor, in the head with a dog leash at their residence about 10:45 p.m. Monday, court records show. McDivitt was placed in Washington County jail on $1,500 bond set by District Judge Gary Havelka.
Threats alleged: William James Puckey, 28, of 137 Walnut Lane, Rostraver Township, is charged by state police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he used a kitchen knife Monday to threaten to dismember Amanda Shank and her dog and threaten to set fire to her car, house and business at 355 S. California Drive, court records show. Pucky was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Gary Havelka.
