Fire at abandoned house: Police assisted Chartiers Volunteer Fire Department at a fire about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at an abandoned farmhouse at 370 Meddings Road.

Hit-and-run crash: Police responded to a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of North Main Street and Reliance Drive about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police said an unknown driver struck the back of a parked American Construction vehicle, which was driven by Russell Query of Clarksville. Slight damage was done to both vehicles, police said, but there were no injuries.

Restaurant cited: El Campesino, a Mexican restaurant at 4155 Washington Road, was cited by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allegedly selling alcohol to a 19-year-old. The charge will be brought before an administrative law judge.

Insurance case: Michael David Chaney, 27, of 417 Prospect Ave., Donora, is charged with insurance fraud and criminal conspiracy in a case that also has Nicolette Hardison, 22, of 416 McKee Ave., Monessen, facing charges of submitting a fraudulent insurance claim, false reports to law enforcement and criminal conspiracy, court records show. Police accused Hardison of reporting her car stolen to her insurance company and police Oct. 12 at Cheney’s urging, a day after the vehicle was involved in an accident while it was being driven by Cheney. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges Wednesday.

Criminal mischief: A resident reported to police the tailgate on their truck, parked at 1238 Willowbrook Drive, was damaged by someone Monday.

Simple assault: Angel McDivitt, 35, of 14 Acheson St., Washington, was charged by city police with simple assault for allegedly hitting William Prowitt, of the same address, in the head with a belt at 10:30 p.m. Monday. Police said Prowitt was bleeding from the head. McDivitt was arraigned Tuesday and placed in Washington County jail.
