Police: Heroin seized in drug bust, man arrested
A North Franklin Township man was arrested Friday morning during a search of his home.
Joseph Rasel, 54, of 304 Sugar Maple Circle, was charged with felony charges of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver heroin and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to Washington County District Attorney Gene Vittone, during the course of the search, which was a result of a two-month investigation, detectives seized more than 280 stamp bags of suspected heroin, marijuana, money and packing materials.
The investigation was a joint effort by the Washington County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force, North Franklin police, Washington County Sheriff’s Department and state police.
