Langeloth man to stand trial in rape

A Langeloth man accused of raping a 14-year-old girl at a Smith Township home was ordered to stand trial on charges including rape and statutory sexual assault.

Michael L. Tustin, 36, of 216 Old Oak Ave., was also ordered held for court on charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, endangering the welfare of children, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors by District Judge Gary Havelka following a preliminary hearing Monday in Central Court.

Tustin, who was charged earlier this month is accused of sexually assaulting the girl over the course of a year. Tustin remains in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond and is scheduled to be formally arraigned on the charges Jan. 28.
