Names of drivers released in crash
North Strabane Township police released additional information, including the names of the nine drivers involved, concerning a crash last week on Weavertown Road near the ramp to Interstate 79 southbound.
Eddy Windsheimer, 69, of 301 W. College St., Canonsburg, told police he was going down the hill when the brakes failed on his 2015 Ford Mustang.
Windsheimer reportedly told police he looked for a place to put the car and thought he could squeeze through the stopped vehicles, but started hitting them.
Joseph Immanuel, 34, of Uniontown, Christine Hughes, 47, of 24 Fulton Road, North Strabane, and David Guidas, 57, of 95 Henderson Ave., Washington, were traveling the opposite direction when their vehicles were hit. Victoria McNulty, 28, of 882 Harold Ave., Washington, was coming down Weavertown when her car was hit.
Kristy Rellick, 25, of Pittsburgh, Martin McNulty, 54, also of 882 Harold, Matthew Vensko, 35, of Dunbar, and Casey Harris, 24, of Wheeling, W.Va., were all stopped in traffic when their vehicles were hit.
Windsheimer, Martin McNulty and Harris were taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Hughes was also slightly injured but did not go to the hospital.
