Police beat Oct. 3
Criminal mischief: Sherre Lynn Malli, 30, of 48 School House Road, Claysville, is accused of throwing a rock at the front door of Harry Evans of 4055 Equity Drive and breaking the window, police said. The incident occurred Friday about 7 a.m. A nontraffic summons was filed against Malli.
Found firearm: A firearm was found at the intersection of Butsko and Bentleyville roads Thursday, police said. Anyone with information about it should call state police at 724-223-5200.
Collision: One person was injured in a three-vehicle accident in the eastbound lane of Interstate 70 Friday about 12:30 p.m., police said. Dora L. Vetanze, 22, of Washington, pulled her vehicle onto the berm to avoid debris in the road, and her car was struck by a vehicle driven Beuna C. Gargala, 38, of St. Clairsville, Ohio. Gargala’s car was then hit by a vehicle driven by Daniel L. Weekly, 27, of Moundsville, W.Va. A 13-year-old passenger in Gargala’s car sustained a minor injury.
