CARMICHAELS – Cumberland Township police are asking the public for help after a rash of thefts from unlocked cars late Sunday and early Monday.

Cumberland police Chief Craig Miller said they received reports of at least seven thefts on multiple streets occurring overnight.

The thefts, all from unlocked cars, occurred on Market, Center, Maple streets, Ceylon Road and Hewitt Avenue in the township. Miller said they were continuing to get new reports Monday afternoon as people were returning from work.

Anyone who may have seen suspicious activity or has a camera surveillance system at their house in those areas is asked to call Cumberland Township police at 724-966-8296.
