Drug arrest: Nicholas Andrew Guta, 36, of 128 Main St., Bentleyville, is charged by borough police with drug possession with intent to deliver, drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop about 2:45 p.m. Friday in the 800 block of Main Street, court records show. Police accuse Guta, a passenger, of having 23 stamp bags of suspected heroin, two Clonazepam tablets and 20 empty stamp bags. He was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Jay Weller.

Woman jailed: Pepper Rae Smith, 37, who is homeless, is charged by township police with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop about 11 a.m. Saturday in the 3200 block of Millers Run Road, court records show. Police accuse Smith, a passenger in the vehicle, of having a small bag of suspected crystal methamphetamine. She was placed in Washington County jail on $7,500 bond set by District Judge Jay Weller.

Man jailed: James Kendall Stein, 24, of 2211 Forest Grove Road, Coraopolis, is charged by township police with attempted involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person under age 18, unlawful contact with a minor, possession of child pornography, attempted interference with child custody, sexual exploitation of children and corruption of minors, court records show. Police accuse Stein of using an online advertisement to arrange for sex with a police officer posing as a 15-year-old boy about 9:20 p.m. Saturday at a service station at 100 McClelland Road. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Jay Weller.

Charged with prostitution: Holly Mae Redman, 31, of Hagerstown, Md., and Amanda Jean Redman, 34, of Inwood, W.Va., are charged by township police with promotion of prostitution based on allegations that an undercover officer discovered their advertisement on a website and used text messages to arrange for sex about 7:15 p.m. Friday at Candlewood Suites, 255 Meadowlands Boulevard, court records show. Amanda Redman also faces charges of possession of instruments of crime and possession of a small amount of marijuana. Both women are free on $5,000 bonds set by District Judge Jay Weller.

Assault alleged: Robert Scott Klein, 61, of 125 Stonegate Drive in North Strabane Township, is charged by township police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he slapped his wife, Antoinette, in the face about 7:45 p.m. Sunday in their residence, court records show. He is free on $10,000 unsecured bond set by District Judge Curtis Thompson.

Woman injured: Robert John Egler Jr., 31, of 1001 Shady Ave., Charleroi, is charged by township police with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness over allegations he threw his wife, Amber, to the floor at The Meadows Casino, 210 Racetrack Road, about 12:25 a.m. Saturday, court records show. He is free on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Jay Weller.

Assault alleged: William Holt, 61, of 196 Roscommon Place, Peters Township, is charged by township police with simple assault and harassment over allegations he struck his girlfriend, Carolyn Quayle, in the left eye Saturday at his residence, court records show. Holt is free on $5,000 bond set by District Judge Jay Weller.

Man jailed: Matthew R. Bellisario, 41, of Cheswick, is charged by township police with felony retail theft and having an altered driver’s license after being accused of stealing $101 worth of merchandise from Walmart, 30 Trinity Point Drive, about 1:50 p.m. Saturday, court records show. He was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Jay Weller.

Three charged: State police have filed charges of drug possession, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia against Shaun A. Days, 36, of Trotwood, Ohio; Joseph E. King, 25, of Parkersburg, W.Va.; and Ashley N. Polston, 22, of New Lebanon, Ohio, court records show. Police allege two bags of white powder, marijuana and a syringe were found in their vehicle after it became disabled about 11:30 p.m. Sunday along McGuffey Road. The suspects were placed in Washington County jail on $2,000 bonds set by District Judge Curtis Thompson.

Assault alleged: David Andrew Tyer, 34, of 4595 McKnight Road, Pittsburgh, is charged by city police with simple assault over allegations he struck Justin Molla in the face about 1:50 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of South Main Street, court records show. Tyer is free on $10,000 bond set by District Judge Jay Weller.

Fight reported: David Byrd, 44, of 670 Addison St., Washington, and Russell Byrd, 39, of 1195 Sycamore St., Washington, were taken into custody after police responded to a report of a fight in the 600 block of Broad Street Saturday. Both were cited for disorderly conduct and released.

House damaged: Stephen Hayman of 795 Ewing St. reported to Washington police Saturday that someone shot BBs through two windows of his home. Officers observed small holes in the living room and kitchen windows.

Woman cited: Christina Helmick, 29, of 769 Addison St., Washington, was arrested and cited with disorderly conduct for allegedly refusing to leave her home after an early morning argument with her boyfriend Monday. She was taken to the police barracks and released to friends.

Car vandalized: Armando Credit reported to Washington police that his car was damaged while parked in the 300 block of Houston Street Sunday. Credit told police he parked the car about 2 a.m., and when he returned in the morning, two windows were broken and several dents and scratches were on the body. He said he found bricks and stones surrounding the car and a threatening note. Police took the note as evidence.
