WILKINSBURG (AP) – A Western Pennsylvania man is facing up to four decades behind bars after a jury convicted him of murder in the October 2014 death of his infant daughter.

A jury on Monday convicted 29-year-old Lincoln Levys of Wilkinsburg of third-degree murder in the slaying of 5-week-old Saige Levys.

Levys was also convicted of assaulting the girl and another of his children, endangering all three of his children, and possessing marijuana. Police say they found a growing operation in the home.

Authorities have said the girl suffered body trauma and gouge marks on her cheeks that prosecutors say were caused by Levys’ fingernails.

Levys’ lawyers declined to comment.

One of Levys’ lawyers says his girlfriend, Sheena Alston, pleaded guilty to endangering her three children.
