Husband arrested: Hank W. McCartney, 38, of 2717 Jefferson Ave., Canton, was arrested Friday morning by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment for allegedly assaulting his wife at their home. He is accused of poking her in the eye and pushing her into a cabinet. Police said she cut her thumb, requiring stitches. McCartney was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and released after posting a $15,000 percentage bond.
Gun stolen: Jared M. Packey of 185 Hallam Ave., Meadow Lands, told Chartiers police Monday his 9 mm handgun was stolen from the console of his girlfriend’s vehicle. He told police the thief broke into the vehicle.
PFA violation alleged: James Hillen, 57, of 1211 McKean Ave., Charleroi, will be charged by Charleroi Regional police with violating a protection-from-abuse order after he allegedly contacted his estranged wife, Valerie Hillen, twice by calling her cellphone. The charges will be sent by summons, police said.
Warrant obtained: Mt. Pleasant police have obtained an arrest warrant for Jarrod Michael Ray, 33, of 31 Meriage St., McDonald, on charges of criminal mischief, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. He is wanted in connection with a domestic incident Friday with his former girlfriend. She told police he also threatened to harm himself. Police believe he is in the Three Springs, W.Va., area.
Endangerment, weapons charges: James Bilday, 39, of 120 Southview Road, Southview, was arrested Sunday by Mt. Pleasant police on charges of having a prohibited offensive weapon, reckless endangerment, simple assault and harassment. He is accused of pointing a BB gun at another man during a confrontation outside Bilday’s house. Bilday was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and released on $25,000 unsecured bond.
Officer assault alleged: Deborah Stansbury of Floral Hill Drive, South Strabane, was arrested early Monday by Charleroi Regional police after she allegedly assaulted a Charleroi Regional police officer who responded to a home in Roscoe because state police were busy on another call. Police were called to 308 Wayne St. to remove an intoxicated woman. Stansbury allegedly was intoxicated and arguing with police. Officer Michael Leasure told her she was under arrest and picked up her purse. She allegedly punched the officer in the face. Stansbury was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis on charges of aggravated assault and defiant trespass. She was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Robbery attempt: A man wearing a mask made an unsuccessful attempt to rob the Uni-Mart at 336 E. Maiden St. about 3:13 a.m. Saturday, Washington police said.
Game player stolen: Shea Stoner of 1080 Idaho St. told Washington police Friday an X-Box and game were stolen in a burglary of his home.
Threats made: Josh Smith of 111 Gibson Ave. told Washington police he was receiving threatening telephone calls from an unknown caller.
Harassment charge: Jessica Yeager, 25, of 1190 Maple Terrace, will be charged with harassment by Washington police after she allegedly threw a dirty diaper at a neighbor last week during a confrontation between the two women.
Man sought: Washington police are looking for a man who broke a window, damaged a change machine and stole a second change machine at Snowy White, 1070 Jefferson Ave. The damage was reported last week.
