Burgettstown woman charged with sexual assault
A Burgettstown woman was arrested Friday by Smith Township police on charges including aggravated indecent assault and statutory sexual assault for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a 14-year-old girl.
Kimberly Seals, 31, of 1517 Main St., also is charged with corruption of minors and indecent assault.
Police learned of alleged incidents at a home in Langeloth after getting a call from the girl’s mother Sept. 13. The girl reportedly told her mother that she wanted to harm herself. The mother told police of her suspicions that the girl was involved with Seals. Seals allegedly admitted her involvement to police.
Seals was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and released from Washington County Jail after posting $3,500 of a $35,000 percentage bond. She is scheduled for an Oct. 20 preliminary hearing before District Judge Gary Havelka.
