Bridge to be closed along Greene, Washington line
The state Department of Transportation is notifying drivers that a section of Day Road will be closed at the county line in Greene County and Majorsville Road in Washington County for a bridge restoration project.
The road closure begins on Monday, Oct. 24 and is expected to be completed Friday Dec. 2.
The closure will be in place to allow crews to replace the deteriorated wooden deck on the Majorsville Truss Bridge with a new pressure treated wooden deck.
A detour will be in place using Ackley Creek Road in Greene County and West Finely and roads in Washington County.
