Police beat Oct. 17
Vehicle crash: John C. Tuhy, 24, of Morgantown, Pa., was cited by state police with driving too fast for conditions after a one-vehicle accident Thursday on Interstate 79. According to the report, Tuhy was traveling west near mile marker 27 when he attempted to switch lanes, lost traction and struck an embankment. Neither Tuhy nor a passenger reported injuries.
Cable stolen: Verizon of Washington reported to state police Friday 300 feet of telephone cable was cut and stolen from a utility pole in the 1300 block of North Sunset Beach Road.
