Inbound Liberty Tunnel and Bridge closed this weekend
The inbound Liberty Tunnel and Bridge in Pittsburgh will be closed through 5 a.m. Monday.
Crews will conduct barrier removal, line eradication and installation, shift the overhead lane-control system and remove temporary signs. One outbound lane will remain open through the weekend.
All inbound traffic will be detoured at the Liberty Tunnel.
When the weekend work concludes, all four lanes of the Liberty Bridge will reopen to traffic. The bridge and tunnel will reopen early if the work is completed before Monday morning. This is the last closure planned this construction season.
Short-term lane restrictions will occur during overnight and off-peak daytime hours throughout the remainder of 2016 and the beginning of 2017.
