Police beat Oct. 22
Theft arrest: Aaron M. Amuso, 27, of 766 Old National Pike, Claysville, was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Ethan Ward on charges of access device fraud, identity theft, theft by deception and conspiracy. He and his girlfriend, Jocelyn Barner, 21, of Amity, are accused of accessing her grandmother’s Paypal account and stealing $1,075. Amuso was placed in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond. Barner was arraigned on identical charges Wednesday night. She remained in jail on $10,000 bond Friday.
Teen charged: Dominic Lorenzo Maffio, 18, of 384 Shipe Run Road, Washington, was charged Thursday by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol, underage drinking, minor prohibited to have alcohol in system, leaving the scene of a crash and several traffic violations. He is accused of wrecking his vehicle in the 500 block of Ten Mile Road, Amwell, on Sept. 30. Police said his blood-alcohol content was 0.162 percent, which is eight times the 0.02 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed for anyone younger than 21. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
Altered prescription charge: Nathan Sam Kronemer, 48, of 459 Spring St., Richeyville, is charged by borough police with altering a prescription for 20 Alprazolam doses in an attempt to obtain 90 doses of the drug from Bentleyville Medicine Shoppe, 808 Main St., about 4:50 p.m. Sept. 28, court records show. The case was filed Thursday before District Judge Curtis Thompson.
Rollover crash: Kenneth A. Finney, 37, of 1444 Jefferson Ave., Washington, was charged Thursday by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol, abandoning a vehicle, driving with a suspended license and traffic violations after his vehicle crashed and rolled over July 6 on Interstate 70 eastbound near the Taylorstown exit, Buffalo. There was no one around the vehicle when police arrived. Police said Finney tried to get his girlfriend to say she was driving, but eventually she admitted he was the driver. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
John Doe arrest: California police arrested a man as a John Doe following an incident Thursday afternoon at Vulcan Village. Police said the man’s name could not be found when run through the 911 dispatch center, but they believed he is a 21-year-old from Silver Spring, Md. Police were called for a report of a man and woman fighting. The man reportedly threatened to harm people if he went to jail and then resisted arrest. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of resisting arrest, intimidation of witnesses, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was placed in Washington County Jail without bond since his identity is not known.
Charge filed: Joshua M. Marish, 36, of 710 1/2 Eighth St., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with possession of heroin paraphernalia. According to police, an officer approached Marish when he saw him staggering in the 400 block of Fallowfield Avenue about 9:20 p.m. Oct. 7, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the case Thursday in a summons.
Woman charged: Breanne Lynn Hadrych, 33, of 45 Mobile Road, Washington, was arraigned Friday before District Judge David Mark on charges of providing false information on a firearms application and making a false statement filed by Chartiers police. She is accused of lying on an application in June while trying to buy a gun at a gun show at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Mark set bond at $2,500 on Hadrych, who was in Washington County Jail on a parole detainer.
DUI alleged in crash: Randy Lee Plants, 46, of 1212 Route 40, Claysville, was charged Tuesday by Donegal police with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a crash, having an open container of alcohol and careless driving after he allegedly crashed into a parked car in the 1200 block of Route 40, Claysville, on Sept. 3. Police said his blood-alcohol content was more than double the 0.08 limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
Computers not returned: Kelcey D. McKinley, 20, of 203 Lincoln Ave. Extension, Charleroi, and Shirley Lynn Walker, 42, of 930 McKean Ave., Charleroi, are charged by Charleroi Regional police with theft of leased property over allegations they failed to return computers to Charleroi Area School District, 100 Fecsen Drive, at the end of the last school term, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the cases Wednesday by summons.
Two charged: Robert L. Ealy, 30, of 886 Mounts Road, Washington, and his passenger, Arlyn Towne Conley, 51, of 170 Rural Valley Road, Claysville, were charged Tuesday by state police in connection with a Sept. 25 crash at the intersection of Route 844 and North Buffalo Road, Hopewell. Police said Ealy failed to stop at a stop sign on North Buffalo and crashed into a vehicle on Route 844. Both he and Conley then allegedly left the scene on foot. Ealy is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of a crash and failing to stop at a stop sign. Police said his blood-alcohol content was more than 1 1/2 times the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. Conley is charged with possession of paraphernalia and public drunkenness. Charges against the two were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
Charges filed: Autumn M. Davis, 37, of 503 Park Manor Road, Monessen, is charged by city police with disorderly conduct, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a disturbance about 6 a.m. Oct. 16 in the 1500 block of Grand Boulevard, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges in a summons Thursday.
Charge filed: Dylan A. Connelly, 26, of 54 Hickory St., Ellsworth, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with possession of heroin paraphernalia about 9:10 p.m. Sept. 19 outside 620 Locust Lane, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the case in a summons Wednesday.
Drug charges: Autumn Lynn Pliska, 18, of 886 Mounts Road, South Franklin, was charged Wednesday by state police with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana and paraphernalia after police say she was found with the items during an Oct. 11 juvenile probation compliance check at her home. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

Pimentel, 60, of 190 Pikes Peak Road, Prosperity, was charged Wednesday by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to stay in his lane stemming from a one-vehicle crash May 26 in the 4100 block of Park Avenue, South Franklin. Police said his blood-alcohol content was more than double the 0.08 percent limit at which intoxication is presumed. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
Assault arrest: Ronald P. Knochel, 57, of 560 S. Main St., Washington, was arrested Thursday by Washington police on a charge of simple assault after he allegedly punched his 29-year-old neighbor after she went to his apartment and asked him to turn down the music. Police said he punched her twice in the face, causing bleeding and swelling. She went to Washington Hospital for treatment. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and released from Washington County Jail Friday morning after posting $10,000 bond.
Wallet stolen: Sue Sadowski of Lawrence told Washington police that her wallet containing a debit card and $9 was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked Thursday at Westgate Apartments, 1430 Donnan Ave.
