Theft: James North, 56, of 860 Patterson Creek Road, Nineveh, was charged by Morris Township police with receiving stolen property and two counts of theft following an incident at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 6. Township police said North owed Jeffery Richter $20 for Richter towing North’s car. North did not have the money, so he led Richter to a building at 1530 Browns Creek Road in Morris Township where there were generators and alternators, belonging to Eliazbeth Stahl, according to the criminal complaint. North gave Richter the 543 pounds of equipment as payment, without Stahl’s permission, the complaint said. Police said Richter scrapped the equipment, valued at $2,660, for $32.
