The ramp from Interstate 70 east to Interstate 79 south in South Strabane Township will be closed for several hours today so that high friction surfacing can be placed.

Due to the surface not being able to be placed until the temperature is above 55 degrees, a specific time frame of the closure cannot be predicted. Motorists are urged to watch for the message boards alerting them to the closure.

A marked detour will use Route 519 and Route 40.
