Monongahela street department worker Chris Spahr decorates the city’s downtown Tuesday for a Halloween parade at 6:30 p.m. today. The handcarved pumpkins represent local groups such as Rotary, Boy Scouts, the local library and 4-H Club.

Monongahela Area Chamber of Commerce director Dorothea Pemberton takes two of 27 pumpkins to a city crew to hang on utility poles on West Main Street. The project is funded by the Mon River Town Program through Monongahela’s Main Street Program.
