Atlasburg man gets prison for child porn conviction
An Atlasburg man was sentenced Wednesday in federal court to more than 12 years in prison after being convicted of child pornography charges.
Christopher Welshans, 39, of 53 Fourth Ave., was convicted in August of distributing videos and images containing sexual exploitation of minors on Feb. 11, 2014. In addition, Welshans knowingly possessed videos and images in computer files of minors, some under age 12, engaging in sex, on March 12, 2014.
He was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Donetta Ambrose to 151 months imprisonment, followed by 10 years of supervised release.
