County seeks proposals for two bridges
Washington County plans to eventually replace bridges in Amwell and Cecil townships.
Washington County Planning Commission plans to advertise online for engineering proposals for design and the granting of permits through the state Department of Transportation’s engineering and construction management system. New bridges are slated for Burnside Road, over Chartiers Creek in Cecil Township, and Iams Hill Road, over Ten Mile Creek in Amwell Township, which are part of the Transportation Improvement Program. Both bridges are open.
Eighty percent of the projects will be paid for from federal taxpayer dollars, 15 percent from state taxpayers and 5 percent from Washington County’s liquid fuels allocation.
