Police beat Sept. 3
Harassment charge: Robert Anthony Gildea, 37, of 340 Park Drive, Canonsburg, was charged with harassment for allegedly striking and shoving a person around 2:15 a.m. Aug. 19 at 355 Rock Hill Road, Center Township, state police said.
Gun violation: Brian Kamalle Young, 31, of 787 Big Shannon Run, Mt. Morris, was charged by Southwest Regional police with illegally possessing a firearm, receiving stolen property and possessing a firearm without a license to carry following an incident that happened about 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Police said they responded to Young’s neighbor’s house for the report of an assault and when they arrived, they found a black pistol on the side of the house, where Young was seen by witnesses. Police said they discovered the gun was stolen from Washington and Young had a prior robbery out of West Virginia on his record, prohibiting him from possessing a firearm.
Criminal trespass: Adrian Michael Buchanan, 24, of 417 Mountainview Gardens, Waynesburg, was charged by borough police with false identification, criminal trespass and harassment following an Aug. 4 incident in which Buchanan allegedly went to an apartment at 195 E. High St. after being told he was not permitted on the property. The victim, Cecil Tuttle Jr., told police he saw Buchanan enter an apartment being rented by Nathan Lewis, who wasn’t home at the time, according to the criminal complaint. After Tuttle knocked on the door multiple times, Buchanan exited the apartment and tried to run away. Police said Tuttle tried to stop Buchanan, but Buchanan kicked Tuttle in the leg. Buchanan, who also has a New York identification card, later allegedly gave police a false Social Security number, the complaint said. Police said there was an arrest warrant for Buchanan in Virginia.
