Greene County community events
The Bowlby Public Library in Waynesburg is offering free SAT preparation classes to help students planning to take the standardized entrance exam this spring. The course consists of three Saturday sessions Sept. 10, 17 and 24 each day from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and will cover math, language arts and writing. Students with a scientific calculator should bring it with them, along with a bagged lunch. Pre-registration is required; call 724-627-9776 to sign up.
Greene County Hymn Sing will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday in Fairview United Methodist Church in Wind Ridge.
The Morgan Township Society of Farm Women will meet at Calvary Baptist Church at noon Wednesday. Nancy Beabout is the hostess, and attendees are asked to bring a covered dish and a safety hint.
