Police beat Sept. 8
Two face charges: Shawn Kavanaugh, 52, and Lisa Marie Ritscher, 52, both of California, face charges of disorderly conduct stemming from a fight Monday at California Manor Apartments, Second Street, police said.
Teen charged: A 16-year-old Pittsburgh boy was charged by California police with resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and underage drinking after he was found intoxicated, carrying an open bottle of wine and bag of marijuana Saturday night in the 200 block of Fourth Street.
Disorderly house charges: Dominick DelGreco, 20, and Nigel Garnet, 20, both of Pittsburgh, and Jordan Hershaw, 20, of Harrisburg, will be charged by California police with violating the borough’s disorderly house ordinance stemming from a loud party Friday night at 117 Monroe Way. Davidson Smart, 21, of Philadelphia, also was charged with violating the ordinance after reportedly ignoring orders to turn down loud music at 636 Park St. Saturday.
Club cited: The operators of Nemacolin Country Club, Route 40, Centerville, were cited by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for failure to have their manager complete the responsible alcohol management program within 180 days of the board’s approval of the appointment.
Paraphernalia charges: Alphonso Griffin, 25, of South Park, and Percy Majors, 52, of 538 Fifth St., Monessen, were charged Tuesday by Charleroi Regional police with possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop in the 1200 block of McKean Avenue. Griffin also was charged with equipment violations. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Theft charge: Kimberly Love, 30, of Pittsburgh, was charged Tuesday by Charleroi Regional police with retail theft for allegedly stealing items from Dollar General. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Suspect found: Francis Falcon, 34, no known address, was taken into custody Tuesday night on a probation detainer after Chartiers police said he was found hiding in a cabinet in the basement of a home at 259 N. Cherry Ave. He was placed in Washington County jail. Falcon also is wanted on a warrant issued by District Judge David Mark on charges filed by state police in connection with an Aug. 23 crash in Houston.
Woman arrested: Amanda Marie Lemley, 28, of 514 Washington Ave., Brownsville, was arrested by state police on charges of receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle and traffic violations stemming from a crash Tuesday on Ridgewood Drive in Deemston. She was arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
GPS stolen: State police are investigating the theft of a GPS unit from a bulldozer owned by Gulisek Construction of Mt. Pleasant while it was parked in a construction zone of Interstate 70 near the Centerville/Monongahela exit. The theft was reported to police Tuesday but it was last seen Friday.
Gas tank stolen: Norman Dunyak of 166 Rodgers Lane, Fallowfield, told state police a boat gas tank was stolen from his property. The theft was reported Tuesday.
Assault alleged: Mark E. Seman, 47, of 378 Tabor Road, Long Branch, will be charged by California police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct stemming from a Sept. 1 confrontation at his home. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Assault alleged: Anthony Christmas, 35, of 850 Broad St., was taken into custody Wednesday by Washington police on a probation detainer after he allegedly assaulted his wife, Devonna Christmas, at their home. Police plan to charge him with simple assault.
Bicycle stolen: Nicole Shaffer of 55 Seminole Ave. told Washington police Tuesday her son’s BMX bicycle was stolen from the side of her home by a white man wearing a blue shirt.
