PennDOT weekly work schedule announced
The state Department of Transportation announced the tentative work schedule for Greene County roads for the week of Sept. 12. Maintenance activities are conducted weather-permitting. Motorists should drive with caution through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights, Greene County Maintenance Manager Jerry Simkovic said.
• Inlet cleaning will be conducted on Route 1015 (Clarksville Road) in Jefferson Township.
• Washout repairs will be done on Route 1004 (Nemacolin Road) in Cumberland Township and on Route 2028 (Sugar Run Road) in Franklin Township.
• Shoulder stabilization work will be conducted on Interstate 79 ramps in Franklin Township and on Route 1015 (Clarksville Road) in Jefferson Township.
• Major slide repair work will continue on Route 3001 (Aleppo and Windy Gap roads) in Springhill Township.
• Patching will be completed on Route 19 in Franklin, Whiteley, Perry, and Washington townships.
• Pipe installation and drainage work will be done on Route 21 in Richhill Township.
• Bridge maintenance work will take place on Route 4007 (Ackley Creek Road) in Gray Township.
• Bridge cleaning activities are planned for various routes in the western section of Greene County.
• Boom mowing is planned for various sections of Route 3007 in Gilmore, Jackson, Richhill and Center townships.
• State roads will be checked and signs updated, downed signs replaced and other concerns addressed on roads throughout the county.
