State police have provided additional details about a three-vehicle crash in which two people were hurt about 6:30 a.m. Wednesday on Route 40 (East National Pike) at Fava Farm Road in Scenery Hill, North Bethlehem Township.

Police said Cynthia Kratzenberg, 32, of South Park, was traveling east on Route 40 and attempted to make a left turn onto Fava Farm Road when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Douglas C. Lusk, 47, of Scenery Hill, who was traveling west. Kratzenberg’s vehicle spun and struck a vehicle driven by Kirk Nypaver, 56, of Scenery Hill, who was not injured.

Lusk’s vehicle traveled off the road, striking a porch at 2173 E. National Pike. He was transported by ambulance to Washington Hospital with a suspected serious injury. An update on his condition was not available Thursday.

Kratzenberg was taken by ambulance to Washington Hospital with a minor injury. Police said she will be cited for a turning violation. Lusk will be charged for driving with a suspended license.

Firefighters from Richeyville and Cokeburg responded. Route 40 was briefly closed.
