WAYNESBURG – A Burgettstown woman was sentenced to five months of probation after pleading no contest Tuesday to possession of crack cocaine.

Star Dawn Lowery, 38, of 13 Valley Lane, appearing before Greene County Judge Lou Dayich, pleaded no contest to possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lowery was arrested by state police on a warrant for another offense on June 28, 2015 in Morgan Township. In her purse, police found crack cocaine, a pipe and syringes.

Dayich ordered the sentence to run concurrent to a sentence imposed for a probation violation on a 2014 theft case for which in March 2015 she had received a 30 day to 23 ½ month sentence. Dayich also ordered no fines be imposed.
