Police Beat Sept. 11
Medication stolen: Gerald Cox, 14 Hillcrest Ave., Burgettstown, told McDonald police Friday that his prescription medication was stolen from his home.
Burglary arrest: Alonzo T. Tinsley, 20, of Washington, faces a preliminary hearing later this month before District Judge David Mark on charges including burglary and criminal trespass. He is accused of breaking into Isaly’s, 2400 Jefferson Ave., Canton, and the drive-thru window at Shorty’s, 2301 Jefferson, Canton, on Aug. 26, state police said. He was taken into custody at a nearby apartment. Tinsley is free on $5,000 bond.
Vehicle stolen, recovered: Kylee Jane McConnell, Helen St., Slovan, told McDonald police Thursday night that her Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from the parking lot of Pitt Hotel and Bar, 110 S. McDonald St. She later spotted the vehicle abandoned off Steubenville Pike in North Fayette Township. Police said surveillance shows what appears to be a man getting into the vehicle and turning onto O’Hara Street about 11 p.m. Thursday.
