Police Beat Sept. 11
Harassment charge: Amanda Marie Cain, 24, of Bentleyville, was charged by state police with harassment for allegedly punching and kicking Arthur Ray Cain, 29, also of Bentleyville, during an incident Thursday at 237 Braden Run Road, Franklin.
Copper stolen: West Penn Power Co. told state police in Waynesburg multiple copper grounds valued at about $900 were stolen in late August from the Emerald substation, 400 block of Clarksville Road, Jefferson. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-627-6151.
Driver escapes injury: Margaret J. Palmer, 45, of Clarksville, escaped injury Wednesday when her southbound vehicle crossed the center line and went off the 200 block of Chartiers Road, Morgan, hitting an embankment, state police said. She will be cited with failure to stay in her lane.
