Police beat Sept. 13
Theft charges: A 34-year-old woman reported to police her prescription pills were stolen from her friend’s lockbox, located on Aleppo Road in Aleppo Township.
DUI charges: Police responded to a crash Saturday on Holbert Stretch in Dunkard Township. Police said Mark Sanders, 32, of Bobtown, crossed the center line and collided head-on with another vehicle, driven by Jeffrey Vanmeter, 39, of Dilliner. Police arrested Sanders for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, but charges are pending lab results.
Harassment: Amanda Marie Cain, 24, of Bentleyville, was charged by state police with harassment following an incident Thursday evening. Police said Cain allegedly was arguing with Arthur Cain, 29, of Bentleyville, before she allegedly punched and kicked him.
Crash: Police responded to a rollover crash on Interstate 79 in Franklin Township Friday afternoon, after a vehicle, traveling north, allegedly started to hydroplane before it crossed the grass median and turned onto its side partially in the southbound lane. Police reported no injuries.
Theft: West Penn Power reported to state police unknown actors stole multiple copper grounds, at the Emerald Substation West Penn Power, in the 400 block of Clarksville Road, in Jefferson Township. The value totaled about $900. Anyone with information can call state police at 724-627-6151.
Harassment charges: John Ralph Santucci, 63, of 30 Summit St., Jefferson, was charged by state police with harassment following a May 18 incident. Police said Santucci allegedly threatened a 45-year-old Morgan Township man with bodily harm at the victim’s residence.
Crash: A 45-year-old Clarksville woman was given a traffic citation after she crashed her vehicle on Chartiers Road in Morgan Township Sept. 7. Police said Margaret Palmer was driving in the southbound lane when she crossed the center line and struck an embankment off of the northbound lane. She was not injured, according to the criminal complaint.
Crash: Emily Andes, 26, of Jefferson Hills, was given a traffic citation following a crash Friday evening on Interstate 79. Police said Andes’ car left the southbound roadway, crossed the grass median and rotated multiple times before striking a guard rail in the shoulder of the northbound lane. Police reported no injuries.
