WAYNESBURG – A number of criminal defendants pleaded guilty last week before Greene County Judge Louis Dayich.

David Lee Kirby, 61, of 132 Fairview Ave., Waynesburg; offenses driving under the influence of alcohol, second DUI offense in 10 years, and a summary traffic violation; arrested Dec. 17, following a single-vehicle crash, Kirby had a blood-alcohol content of 0.201 percent; sentence – 30 days to 6 months in jail; $525 in fines, 25 hours of community service.

Jeffrey Blair Lahew, 55, of 225 Walnut Road, Claysville; offenses – DUI, two summary violations; Lahew was arrested Aug. 5, 2015 following a single-vehicle crash; a blood test indicted he was under the influence of Diazepam, marijuana and other drugs; sentence – 72 hours to 6 months in jail, $525 in fines.

Thelma Marie Friday, 44, of 125 Cumberland Village, Carmichaels; offense – possession of a drug paraphernalia; arrested Jan. 30, she was in possession of a pill crusher and two straws; sentence – 12 months of probation, 36 hours of community service, drug and alcohol assessment.

Dale Allen Kuhns, 55, of 2089-B Pine Tree Road, Limeport; offenses – DUI, possession of a small amount of marijuana, resisting arrest; Kuhns became combative when police arrested him Feb. 1 after his vehicle became disabled; a small amount of marijuana was found in his vehicle; he refused a blood test; sentence – 72 hours to 6 months in jail; $400 in fines.

Dawn Renee Reed, 33, of 6 Wheeling Creek Mobile Home Park, Wind Ridge; offenses – driving after imbibing alcohol or a controlled substance, four summary traffic violations; arrested Aug. 5, 2015, following a two-vehicle crash, a blood test indicated she was under the influence of Clonazepam and Klonopin; sentence – 72 hours to 5 years in jail; $525 in fines, 100 hours of community service.

Mildred Denise Johnston, 54, of Mather; offense – unsworn falsification to authorities; Johnstown gave false information regarding a mental health commitment while completing an ATF form to purchase a handgun on Nov. 15; sentence – 6 months of probation, $100 fine, 60 hours of community service.

Brandi N. Howard, 33, of 108 Victoria Drive, Waynesburg; offenses – DUI and three summary violations; arrested Jan. 30, Howard had a BAC of 0.256 percent; sentence – to follow completion of a pre-sentence report.

Jeffrey McConnell, 26, of 122 Main St., Graysville; offenses – fleeing or attempting to elude police, reckless driving, three summary violations; on April 20, McConnell failed to stop his vehicle for police in Morris Township; he later turned himself in; sentence – 30 days to 23 1/2 months in jail, $725 in fines.

Peter Nolan, 30, 365 Stewart Hill Road, Waynesburg; offenses – three counts of theft from a motor vehicle, two counts of receiving stolen property; May 3, Nolan stolen two cellphones and a wallet from vehicles in Waynesburg; sentence – 5 years of county intermediate punishment, which includes 5 months in jail followed by 5 months of house arrest.

Joshua Franklin Davis, 29, of 222 Kurans Road, Carmichaels; offense – access device fraud; on April 9, Davis was in possession of another person’s credit card without that person’s authorization; sentence – 6 month of probation, $50 fined, 25 hours of community service.

Ashley Nicole Yoders, 28, of 2172 Lazelle Union Road, Maidsville, W.Va.; offenses – possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver; a charge of contraband was withdrawn; Yoders inserted a Suboxone strip in a letter to an inmate at Greene County jail on Nov. 5; sentence – 60 days to 23 ½ months in jail, $200 fine.

David Michael Strohmeyer Jr., 34, of 75 Beeson Ave., Marianna; offenses – possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and delivery of a controlled substance; on Oct. 15, Oct. 17 and Nov. 11, 2013, Strohmeyer sold heroin to a drug task force confidential informant; 10 stamp bags were sold each time; sentence – to be sentenced following preparation of a pre-sentence report.

Douglas Scott Marshall, 56, of 85 Main St., Daisytown; offenses – two separate counts DUI, second and third offenses in 10 years, four summary violations; he was arrested for DUI on Oct. 14 and again Nov. 14; on Nov. 14, he had crashed into a porch and a parked vehicle in Waynesburg and had a BAC exceeding 0.300 percent; sentence – 5 years of county intermediate punishment, the first 180 days on house arrest; $3,550 in fines; $9,311.47 in restitution.

Jeffery Allen Turner, 53, of 417 Jakes Run Road, Core, W.Va.; offense – DUI; arrested Nov. 26, Turner refused a breath test; sentence – 6 months of probation, $500 fine.
