Police beat Sept. 16
Receiving stolen property charge: Briar David Jones, 21, of the 1500 block of Aleppo Road, Wind Ridge, was charged Wednesday by state police with receiving stolen property for allegedly purchasing a handgun he believed was stolen. Police said Jones told them the gun was at his grandmother’s house, but when troopers searched her house they couldn’t find it. Jones then told police he thought the gun was at his residence and police found it hidden in the rafters of his kitchen, according to court documents. Jones is being held at Greene County jail on $20,000 bond.
Trespassing charge: Aaron M. Redman, 19, of 137 Orchard Road, Waynesburg, was charged with trespassing after borough police said he entered the Sunoco convenience store on East Greene Street and argued with the clerks Sept. 6. Police said Redman is not allowed on the property, but has trespassed multiple times.
