WAYNESBURG – A Waynesburg man who led police on a high-speed chase before crashing into a guardrail in June pleaded guilty Friday before Greene County Judge Lou Dayich.

Zachary Lee Hodgson, 22, of 38 Grandview Drive, pleaded guilty to fleeing or attempting to elude police and nine summary traffic violations.

He was sentenced to 4 to 8 months in jail and given credit for time served from his June 5 arrest date. He also was fined $750.

Hodgson fled in his vehicle at a high rate of speed after state police attempted to stop him for a traffic violation on Route 188 in Morgan Township June 5. His vehicle became disabled after hitting a guardrail.

Hodgson told police he fled because he had no insurance and knew the license plate was from another vehicle.
