Beaver County man faces new child porn charges
A New Brighton man already in jail on charges he was attempting to make unlawful contact with a 14-year-old girl faces new charges of possession child pornography, North Strabane Township police said. Officers arrested Joseph H. Kaluza, 66, of 1701 N. Third St., in August as he was allegedly communicating online with a person he thought was a Canonsburg teenager.
Officer Gary Scherer was posing as the fictitious teen in a Web chat room and documented Kaluza exposing himself and asking for nude photos. Police then confiscated Kaluza’s computer and sent it to the Department of Homeland Security, where investigators found 52 additional images of child pornography. Kaluza remains in jail on $50,000 bond.
