NORTH APOLLO (AP) – State police are looking for a couple who kidnapped a 77-year-old Pennsylvania woman who gave them a ride, then held her captive for two days and robbed her of $5,000.

WTAE-TV saidthe female suspect asked the victim for a ride Friday night in North Apollo and was joined shortly afterward by the male suspect.

Police said the couple put the victim into the car’s trunk at knifepoint then drove around for nearly three hours before letting her out.

Police said the trio spent the night in a car before the couple forced the woman to withdraw $5,000 on Saturday. The victim eventually drove away later that day after the couple left the vehicle for some unspecified reason.
