Poet to speak at W&J

Best-selling poet and memoirist Mary Karr will be in residence at Washington & Jefferson College from Monday through Sept. 29. At 7 p.m. Wednesday, she will give a free, public lecture in Room 100 of the Dieter-Porter Life Sciences Building, with a book signing to follow. The lecture is titled, “Ambushed by the Truth: Confessions of an Unlikely Bestseller.” Karr is the author of “The Liar’s Club,” “Sinners Welcome,” and most recently, “The Art of Memoir.”
