Municipalities in Greene County to hold clean-up days
Municipalities throughout the county have fall cleanup days coming up soon.
Cumberland Township will hold cleanup days this Saturday and Sunday, each day from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the township municipal building. No tires, refrigerants, electronics or liquids will be accepted. Anyone with questions should call 724-966-5805.
Morris Township will hold cleanup day Oct. 1. Township residents can drop off items at the township building at no charge from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Appliances, sofas, mattresses and scrap metal will be accepted. Garbage or tires will not be accepted. For information call 724-627-9844.
Aleppo Township will hold a township cleanup on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7 and 8, each day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. No wood, paint, tires, household garbage or electronics will be accepted. The cleanup is for township residents only and will be held at the township building at 815 Aleppo Road, New Freeport. For more information, call 724-428-3875.
Waynesburg Borough will hold clean-up days Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13 through 15. Borough residents can take unwanted items to the street department on First Street between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 7 a.m. and noon Saturday. The borough will not accept electronics, paint and hazardous materials. Tires will be accepted at a fee of $2 for each car tire and $3 for each light truck tire. Items with Freon must be tagged indicating the Freon has been removed. The borough will pick up items at a resident’s home for $25 for half a truck load and $50 for a full truck load.
