PennDOT releases weekly work schedule
The state Department of Transportation announced the tentative work schedule for Greene County roads for the week of Sept. 26.
Maintenance activities are conducted weather-permitting. Motorists should drive with caution through all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring headlights, Greene County Maintenance Manager Jerry Simkovic said.
• Bridge maintenance work will be conducted on Route 2003 in Franklin Township.
• Bridge flushing will be cone on various routes in the western half of the county.
• Spray patching potholes will be completed on various routes and boom mowing done on state Route 2003 in Perry and Whiteley townships.
• Patching working will be done on Route 21 in both Richhill and Gray townships.
• Pipe and culvert repairs will be made on state Route 2003 in Franklin Township and base repair work conducted on Route 19 in Franklin Township.
• Ditch cleaning and shoulder stabilization work will be done on Route 88 in Monongahela Township.
• Major slide repairs are scheduled to be completed on state Route 4010 in Gray Township.
• Signs will be updated, downed signs replaced and other concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
PennDOT has a 24-hour toll free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concerns. This number can also be used to report dead deer on state highways. The number is 1-800-FIX-ROAD.
