Shooting in Pittsburgh sends two to hospital
PITTSBURGH (AP) — Public safety officials say a gunshot detection system indicated shortly before 3:30 p.m. Saturday that seven rounds had been fired in the Highland Park neighborhood.
Officers found a 17-year-old youth and an 18-year-old wounded. They were taken to UPMC Presbyterian, where they were reported in stable condition.
Officials said the early investigation indicates that shots were fired near an intersection, and four males were seen running. Two of the four were shot. A firearm, believed to have been discarded by one of the four, was found at the scene.
