Victory 5K Run/Walk raises money for Greene County charities

Nearly 100 people participated in last month’s Victory 5K Run/Walk near Waynesburg, raising a total of $3,720 to help the Corner Cupboard Food Bank and Alexa Grace Pester Memorial Scholarship Fund. The food bank also received items from the food drive and leftover produce from the event while Domestic Violence Services of SWPA received all unused event shirts for their emergency shelters. The charity run on Aug. 13 began at First Church of the Nazarene in Franklin Township with 97 runners and walkers weaving around the neighborhood.
