Ellsworth woman dies of crash injuries
An Ellsworth woman died Saturday in a Pittsburgh hospital of injuries she suffered in a one-vehicle crash earlier this month in North Bethlehem Township.
Jaime Cher Dipyatic Thompson, 38, was pronounced dead at UPMC-Presbyterian hospital from head injuries she suffered when her vehicle crashed on Route 40 near Robinson Road.
State police said the crash occurred shortly before 3 p.m. Sept. 15 when Thompson’s vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree. She was the only occupant of the vehicle.
She is the 17th person to die this year as a result of a crash on Washington County roads.
