Washington & Jefferson series kicks off
This season’s Arts Series kicks off Thursday at Olin Fine Arts Center at Washington & Jefferson College with “Core Ensemble Presents: Tres Vidas.” This is a chamber music theater work featuring a singing actress and a musical trio (cello, piano and percussion) based on the lives of three legendary Latin American women: Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, Salvadoran peasant activist Rufina Amaya and Argentinean poet Alfonsina Storni.
Tickets are required, and pricing is as follows: $12 general admission, $10 seniors and students, $7 for children younger than age 12.

American poet, writer, scholar and Vietnam veteran, W.D. (Bill) Ehrhart will give a free, public lecture titled, “The American War in Vietnam: Lessons Learned and Not Learned” at 7 p.m. Monday in Yost Auditorium.
