A Claysville man was arraigned on charges filed by Donegal Township police stemming from three incidents, two in Claysville and one in Donegal, over a two-day period last month.

Korey R. Keener, 34, of 1270 W. Route 40, is charged with reckless endangerment, flight to avoid apprehension and disorderly conduct stemming from an Aug. 14 incident on Route 40 in Claysville. He is charged with simple assault, reckless endangerment, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief stemming from separate incidents in Claysville Aug. 15.

Police spotted Keener sitting in a yard of a home in the 1200 block of Route 40 with a large rock on his lap. When police asked him to remove the rock, Keener reportedly became verbally abusive. He allegedly became more aggressive as the officer continued to ask him to remove the rock. Keener then got off the ground and raised the rock over his head.

Keener then lowered the rock but ignored other orders given by police. Police said he then took a few steps and ran. He was taken into custody and taken to a hospital for an evaluation but was not admitted, police said. Keener was released to his parents.

The following day, police were called to his home after his father confronted him about a fire that was set on the porch earlier that morning. Keener became agitated and reportedly threatened to stab his father. He left when his mother called 911. He was found about two blocks away from the residence.

Also that day, he is accused of breaking a window at the Claysville Laundromat, 255 Main St.

Keener was arraigned on all the charges before District Judge Ethan Ward. He faces an Oct. 11 preliminary hearing before Ward.
