Carmichaels Activities Center, also known as Carmichaels Senior Center, on Nemacolin Road will host a dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday featuring the Solid Gold Trio. Admission is $8. The event benefits the center. For information, call 724-966-2290.
There will be a rummage and bake sale at St. George’s Anglican Church, 100 Bonar Ave., in Waynesburg, this Friday and Saturday each day from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the church’s Outreach Ministries.
Waynesburg University Lamplighters choir will perform a Disney-themed sing-along concert in the Goodwin Performing Arts Center Oct. 13 from 5:15 to 6 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. The choir will lead the audience in singing along to songs from “Toy Story,” “The Lion King”, “Frozen” and other popular movies. Disney characters from the movies represented may even make an appearance. The Lamplighters will also offer the concert at an assembly at Waynesburg Central Elementary School that morning. An all-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatball dinner will be held each Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m., in the former Holy Family Catholic Church in Greensboro. The event benefits the Greensboro-Monongahela Township Volunteer Fire Co. The menu includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread, beverages and dessert. The dinner is $5 for children and $8 for adults. Take-out orders are available by calling 724-943-3800. There is also a limited delivery area.
