CHESTER – A Pennsylvania man wanted on child-sex charges has been shot and wounded, and police are trying to determine if the shooting is related to the charges he faces.

Chester police told the Delaware County Daily Times 31-year-old Tracy Arbuckle was shot several times near his residence Monday night.

At the time, he was wanted on charges including child rape involving two young girls. Arbuckle survived the shooting and was arraigned on those charges Tuesday at Crozer-Chester Medical Center, after which he was sent to the county jail unable to post $750,000 bail.

Chester police Chief James Nolan IV said the shooting is “awfully coincidental” coming as it did barely two weeks after the girls accused him.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for Arbuckle, who faces a preliminary hearing April 26.
