Washington woman killed in Buffalo Township crash
A 22-year-old Washington woman died from injuries suffered when she crashed her sport utility vehicle Wednesday night on Route 40 in Buffalo Township.
Allison Warco, 22, was pronounced dead in the emergency room at Washington Hospital after crashing about 11:53 p.m. Wednesday on eastbound Route 40 near McGuffey Drive, said Coroner Tim Warco. Her vehicle hit an embankment on the westbound side of the road and rolled over. She was not wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected, the coroner said.
She was taken to the hospital by a crew from Ambulance and Chair Service and was pronounced dead at 12:40 a.m.
State police are investigating the crash. Assisting at the scene were firefighters from Taylorstown and Claysville. Warco was the ninth person to die on Washington County roads this year.
