Doctor charged with failure to pay taxes
A medical doctor from Washington was charged in federal court Monday with three counts of failing to file income tax returns.
Rodney J. Williams allegedly failed to file tax returns from 2009 to 2011, a period during which he had a gross income of $790,385, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Soo C. Song.
The law provides for a maximum sentence of not more than three years in prison, a fine of $300,000, or both.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Nelson P. Cohen is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government. The Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigations, conducted the investigation.
