Police: Three charged in Union Twp. home invasion
Three men are facing charges in a Union Township home invasion where one of them is accused of robbing a resident at gunpoint of Air Jordan 5 sneakers.
Monongahela police filed conspiracy charges in the case against: Carter Scott Williams, 20, of 449 Bentleyville Road, Fallowfield Township; Shane Patrick Kelly, 22, of Finleyville; and Andrew Michael Pro, 29, of 3603 Boff St., South Park Township, court records show.
Kelly and Williams are accused of breaking into 6141 Brownsville Road Extension about 2:15 a.m. and entering a bedroom where Jon Waltrowski was sleeping. Waltrowski awoke to noises, turned on a light and recognized the two suspects, police allege in the affidavit supporting the criminal charges in the case.
Waltrowski also accused Williams of pulling out a silver revolver and pointing it at his head after showing him the gun was loaded. Waltrowski also told police Williams threatened to shoot him, and he feared he would be killed if he didn’t give the shoes to Kelly and Williams, court records allege.
The victim also accused Kelly of trying, unsuccessfully, to take his money. Kelly also is accused of stealing a yellow smoking device from the room.
It was later discovered a basement window was broken to get into the residence, police stated. Pro is accused of driving the men to Walrowski’s home.
Police were later summoned to 267 Garvin Road in Union Township to investigate a report of a man bleeding on a porch. The man identified himself as Shane Kelly and admitted to going to Waltrowski’s residence to retrieve his shoes with Williams, court records show.
Kelly also accused Williams of later removing him from Pro’s vehicle after an argument broke out between Pro and Kelly. He said he was struck in the back of the head with a revolver. He was taken to Mon Valley Hospital for the treatment of broken bones in his hand and an injury to the back of the head, police stated.
Williams and Kelly also face charges in the case of burglary and robbery. Kelly also is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Meanwhile, Williams and Pro are charged with aggravated assault and simple assault stemming from Kelly’s injuries, court records show.
Williams and Pro are in Washington County jail, each on $125,000 bond set by District Judge James Ellis.
Ellis signed an warrant Wednesday for the arrest of Kelly.
