Two Washington sisters charged in pursesnatching
Two Washington sisters were arrested Tuesday by Washington police on charges of robbery, theft and disorderly conduct for allegedly stealing a woman’s purse as she left Shop ‘n Save last month.
Kimberly Kover, 28, and Kelley Kover, 26, whose last known addresses were 1176 Bruce St., are accused of stealing the purse that reportedly contained credit and debit cards and a cellphone. They were arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Kimberly Kover also was arraigned Tuesday before Redlinger on charges of theft and conspiracy for allegedly stealing a vehicle owned by a Monessen resident that was impounded at Isiminger’s, 1100 Jefferson Ave., March 25. She and a 26-year-old Washington man are seen on surveillance taking the vehicle, police said. Police have obtained a warrant for her accomplice. Redlinger set a $5,000 bond on those charges.
