A Mt. Washington man died Saturday morning in a crash on Interstate 79 near Pittsburgh.

State police said William Mcever, 45, was driving north at 7:45 a.m. when his vehicle left the roadway and crossed three lanes before striking a sign, then a tree. Police said Mcever was pronounced dead at the scene at mile marker 73 near the Wexford exit.

Police said Mcever’s vehicle was severely damaged in the crash.
